CNC delegation headed by its President Sri N U Naachappa Codava met World Renowned Economist, Rajyasabha MP, former Union Law and Justice Minister Dr Subramanyan Swamy ji at Southern Star Hotel Mysore on the evening hours of 23rd April 2022.

Dr Swamyi ji accompanied by VHS National General Secretary Sri Jagdish Shetty ji.

Dr Swamy ji expressed his deep concern over carving out Codava Geo-Political Autonomy under Article 371 of our Constitution.

Dr Swamy ji accepted the invitation of CNC to participate as Chief Guest in the 32nd Annual Codava National Day scheduled to be held on 26 November 2022 which coincides with Constitution day at Madikeri, Codavaland aka Coorg.

Edmyar 1 Resolution of 2022

Codava National Council celebrated the Codava Racial New Year Day for the 28th consecutive year as per Codava Calendar /Almanac on Edmyar 1st, which falls on 14th of April in the Gregorian Calendar. 6 A.M ritualistic worshiping of Mother Earth In the paddy Field of Kupadhira Okka in Bettathur village and traditional ploughing of the paddy field.

The Codava Tribal people follow the solar calendar.

Since the inception of CNC we have been celebrating all Codava folkloric traditional festivals publicly, including Codava New Year's Day, Edmyar 1st, i.e. on 14th April, to give knowledge to the universe about Codava existence and to display and herald the unique culture of the Codava tribe to the world Community, thereby attaining UN recognition and to protect and preserve the same through Constitutional guarantee.

CNC's Paramount demands and Honorable goals are as follows:

1.Codavaland Geo-Political Autonomy.
2.Indigenous Codava tribe should be recognized as the primitive tribe of Codava territory.
3.Codava Scarament Gun/Weapon should be considered on par with kirpan of Sikhs under article 25 and 26 of our constitution.
4.For its holistic empowerment minuscule micro minority Codava tribe should be included in the ST list under Articles 340 and 342 of our Constitution.
5.Classical Primitive "Codava Thakk" i.e. the mother tongue of the Codava tribe should be incorporated in the 8th Schedule of our Constitution.
6. Vibrant, Enchanting, Amazing, Panoramic, Rich, and Enormous Codava Culture-folkloric Heritage should be included in the intangible Cultural Heritage list of UNESCO.

Program on Edmyar 1st are as follows:

1.6 AM ritualistic worshiping of Mother Earth In the paddy Field of Kupadhira Okka in Bettathur village and traditional ploughing of the paddy field with the help of Bullocks by CNC President N U Nachappa Codava. These ritualistic practices showcase the unbreakable bond of the Codava tribe with the Mother Soil.

2.Ambedkar Jayanthi celebration: Dr. B R Ambedkar is the Founding Father of our Constitution, a Great Scholar, Political Philosopher, Economist, Social Scientist, and Great Humanitarian, who is considered as the greatest statesman of the millennia.
He is the ever-enduring voice of marginalized micro minority tribes, like the Codava people, across the world. Dr.Ambedkar sensed the gravity of the multi-ethnic diverse societal fabric and pluralistic structure of our Country. Accordingly, he proceeded in social engineering processes. He gave the space in our Constitution to aspire for the rights of each and every community, group, or tribe without any bias or prejudice.
Even today the populous community is imposing their ethnic hegemony on the Codava tribe to delegitimize us in our own homeland and are trying to depopulate the Codava tribe and repopulate others and thereby conspiring for demographic shift and causing silent genocide of the Codava tribe. And also forcibly dacoiting Codava cultural identity through acculturation. Whatever Constitutional demands we Codava people put forth before the authorities, these populous groups oppose us and apply derailing methods, and create Codava phobia. All these Codava phobias and anti-Codava acts will be nullified only through Ambedkarism. The Indian Constitution architectured by Dr.Ambedkar is the only ray of hope for the Codava tribe. Constitution is the sole panacea for achieving legitimate Codava aspirations. Dr. B R Ambedkar considered Indian society as a bouquet of flowers and advocated that it has to have blossomed through Constitutional care. And further he cautioned that it cannot be a melting pot. If Codava tribal people attained all their Constitutional rights, the very notion of Diverse Culture, Many languages & Several nationalities India in the making will be the reality.

Let us all believe and have faith in our Constitution. Any Govt. will have to adhere to the tenets of our Constitution.
Dr B R Ambedkar is Jagadguru (Guru of the Universe) for us. The Constitution is the sacred text & The Guru - Peetha for us.
The ST tag and Codavaland Geo-Political Autonomy are the Dharma - Guru, Kula-Guru for Codava tribe.
Hence remembering and celebrating Dr. B R Ambedkar on Ambedkar Jayanthi is the gratitude and tribute to the soul of the great Architect of the Indian Constitution.

ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಣೆ : ಡಾ.ಬಿ ಆರ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಪಿತಾಮಹ, ಮಹಾನ್ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸ, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ತತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನಿ, ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಸ್ರಮಾನದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಹಾನ್ ಮಾನವತವಾದಿ, ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕೊಡವ ಜನರಂತೆ ಅಳಿವಿನಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಧ್ವನಿ. ಡಾ.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಬಹು-ಜನಾಂಗೀಯ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬಿತ್ತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುತ್ವದ ರಚನೆಯ ಗುರುತ್ವವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಅದರಂತೆ ಅವರು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ಅಥವಾ ಪೂರ್ವಾಗ್ರಹವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಮುದಾಯ, ಗುಂಪು, ಅಥವಾ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಆಶಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಇಂದಿಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನಾಳುವ ಪ್ರಭಲ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಾಖೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ತಾಯ್ನಾಡಾದ ಕೊಡಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಆಶೋತ್ತರವನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕಲು ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜನಾಂಗೀಯ ಪ್ರಾಬಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇರುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯಾ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಚು ರೂಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟಿನ “ಮೂಕ ನರಮೇಧಕ್ಕೆ” ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೊಡವ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ಢಖಾಯಿತಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೇ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡವ ಜನರು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಸ್ಥಂಭದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ, ಈ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಗುಂಪು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹಳಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡವ ಫೋಬಿಯಾವನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಡವ ಫೋಬಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿರೋಧಿ ಕೊಡವ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರಿಸಂ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾತ್ರ ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಡಾ.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ರಚಿಸಿದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ಭರವಸೆಯ ಹೊಂಗಿರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯಸಮ್ಮತವಾದ ಕೊಡವ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ಏಕೈಕ ರಾಮಬಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಡಾ. ಬಿ ಆರ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಹೂಗುಚ್ಚ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅರಳಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅದು ಕರಗುವ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಾಗಿರಬಾರದೆಂದು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದರೆ, ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಅನೇಕ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯತೆಗಳ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯು ಭಾರತವು ವಾಸ್ತವದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಂಬೋಣ. ಮತ್ತು ಅಚಲವಾದ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿರಿಸೋಣ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

• ಡಾ ಬಿ ಆರ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ನಮಗೆ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು (ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಂಡದ ಗುರು). • ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ನಮಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಗ್ರಂಥವಾಗಿದೆ. • ಎಸ್‌ಟಿ ಟ್ಯಾಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡವಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಜಿಯೋ-ಪೊಲಿಟಿಕಲ್ (ಭೂ ರಾಜಕೀಯ) ಸ್ವಾಯತ್ತತೆ ಎಂದರೆ - ಕೊಡವ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು-ಕುಲಗುರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಜಯಂತಿಯಂದು ಅವರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತುಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನ ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಾಸ್ತುಶಿಲ್ಪಿ ಯವರ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜಕೀಯ, ಸಂವಿಧಾನತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನೂನಾತ್ಮಕ ಆಂದೋಲನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಜ್ಜಾಗಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
